This week I sit down with Katie Walters to kick off the Proverbs 31 Woman series! She is a pastors wife, Founder of the non-profit Francis and Benedict, and mom to six (#7 on the way). She begins this series with a message that points us to the heart of our Heavenly Father and the truth that the life of the Proverbs 31 Woman is what we can look to for who a Godly woman is. Katie reminds us that we wont be able to do every thing listed in the 31 verses each day but that The Lord calls us to live a life fully surrender to His plans, just like this woman exemplifies.

Scripture: 

• Proverbs 31:11-12 The heart of her husband trusts in her,and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
• Proverbs 31:25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.
• Proverbs 3:15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.

Notes:

• Ruby is the strongest gem stone and God uses this to describe a woman who lives for Him. 
• Finding a  woman of noble character is very difficult to find in culture.
• God calls women in Christ to be noble and strong in Him.
• We as women continue to hold our low points up to other’s high points.
• As a woman we must learn to be kind and gracious to ourselves.
• We need to look to the Proverbs 31 woman  as the aim of a life of someone who loves The Lord with all her heart and lives fully surrendered to Him.
• Sometimes the best yes is not doing the thing that needs to be done and spending time where God desires you to be.
• One of the hardest things to surrender to God is our future.
• We need to live with less of culture telling women who they are and what makes them roar. We need to go to The Lord for that.  We also need to live with more grace and humility that comes from The Lord.
• We must always remember God uses the small things.
