1. Welcome to Episode #6 of The P.S. Be Creative Podcast where a creative life is a happy life, a healthy life, and ultimately, a more successful life.  My name is Pete Bush and I am a father, husband, music teacher, chorus director, singer, writer and also the founder of PSBcreative, a theatrical production company that supports arts programs in schools.  

Singers are everywhere.  I believe that regardless of age, creed or ability, we all are musical beings.  A baby for instance, will be singing long before her or she can speak or walk.  To sing a song is truly a wonderful thing but to understand the song, know the story behind it, and to believe in every note, every lyric, every nuance - now that's something special.  

My guest is Sybil Eberhart.  She is a swing band jazz vocalist with a voice that's worth a million dollars, the wisdom of a library and the heart of an angel.  When Sybil sat down for a chat with me, she had a folder full of her hand written notes from the research she's done on countless jazz standards and classics from the Great American Songbook.
