Sports pulls at our human design to worship. But sports can be a false god that will leave us always wanting.  You certainly can be a fully devoted follower of Jesus and an amazing professional athlete, no doubt about that. They aren’t mutually exclusive.  

But when we pursue athlete, or making our kids into the best athlete they can be, at the expense of disciple [or making a disciple of our kids]…that is a cost we may not want to pay years down the road. We talk about that and more in today's video from our Friday's are for Families series.
