Blessing is about reveling in and receiving the presence of God, and letting that overflow into your life from your job to your dinner table. Blessing is about worship and God blesses his people, dwells with them, and empowers them, in order to bless others. For worship to multiply. For the family to grow. For gladness to increase.

Starting with Abraham, God always planned for all the nations to receive his Gospel and redeem people from every people group for his glory. This Psalm is the way we pray when we are aligned with Gods purposes for his name to be praised among the nations, not just in Western culture or America. It is a desperate plea for the overflow of the Good News of Jesus Christ to spread to every corner of the globe.

Missions exist for the eternal, global enjoyment and praise of God by all peoples. And we are called to further that highest goal as ambassadors of the King however we can, for one day there will be no more need of missions work because every knee WILL bow to the One, True, Living God either in joyful worship or awaiting judgment.
