There is a huge gap between the creative cultural icons of our time and the artists and designers who are just as talented but remain overlooked. Creative people go through a lot of trial and error to make beautiful work, and it can be very disheartening when nobody cares about it. When faced with an open-ended design problem or tasked with creating a work of art, the creative process can feel like trying to solve a puzzle. There is no such thing as a cautious creative; either you're cautious or you're creative, but you can't be both.
