This episode is Scene Six of The Silver King.  Stanley and JJ Sherry, as commissioned officers, ride the Queen Mary, which is now a troop transport ship, across the Atlantic Ocean in late September on their way to the European Theater of Operations.  Their specific destination, unknown to them, is an air base in allied territory, perhaps in England or France.
