Just okay
First, I know I will purchase the next book in the series because I like to see how storylines progress or finish. However, I did not enjoy this book. I found myself just skimming the pages looking for a new development. The story is dragging and I am not satisfied with the character development. However , there is a good cliffhanger so hopefully the next book in the series will be better.

I have read many of this author's books and truly enjoy her writing style. The wonderland series is one of the best I've read. People,don't miss this read.my only regret is that they end too soon.When I get a book I cannot put it down ,and then it's gone.Awaiting the next book in the fall.
Great Series
This is the fourth book I've read in this series and I read it in less than 24-hours. I enjoy the author's style and the twists and turns she weaves into her stories. Thankfully, there is going to be a 5th book in this series. Sadly, I'll have to wait until Fall to get it.
Kept me guessing
I really enjoyed the storyline but what really hooked me were the characters. The characters are flawed but that is what made them real. You could even sympathize and understand what is driving the villain to make the choices they do.
What pulls me into Shapiro's books are the emotions the stories put me through. She makes me laugh, gasp, heart broken and also blush. She makes me feel.
Love this series
I just love this series, so I'm not too bothered if the characters don't appear complex enough any more, or if the storyline is somewhat predictable. I like Irina's writing, and I have read several of her other books as well. I have seen her writing evolve over the years, and I like that there is some good historical background (though I'm not an authority on British history). I'm hoping the story will wind up in the next book as sometimes a series can get too drawn out. I'd rather see it end before that happens.
