In this poignant and powerful episode of Gunsmoke, Marshal Matt Dillon intervenes as a newly arrived Chinese immigrant, Chen Wong, faces hostility and prejudice in Dodge City. Chen, a hardworking cook, quickly becomes the target of local bullies Pless Braden and Howard Rabb, who spread rumors of hidden treasure in Chen's small box. When the bullies escalate their harassment by cutting off Chen's sacred queue (pigtail), they ignite a chain of events leading to tragedy.
