In today’s Mercy Service, from 1 Corinthians 9:24–27, we are reminded that the Christian journey is a race of discipline, focus, and endurance.

• Running to obtain — pressing toward the eternal crown, not worldly rewards.

• Spiritual discipline — keeping the body and mind under submission to Christ.

• The danger of complacency — staying alert so we are not disqualified.

• Finishing well — enduring in faith until we see Him face to face.
