Teams in the Eastern Conference made moves to improve already. After the Celtics lose their first home game of the season, now standing at 20-1 in the garden, teams like Milwaukee and Miami smelled blood. The Bucks fired their head coach with a 73 win percentage to hire Celtic legend Doc Rivers. Milwaukee has been a top offense but floundered on defense. It’s championship or bust for them so Doc Rivers comes in with aspirations to take down the his former team and win the East. Is Doc the secret to a Bucks defensive turnaround? Can he do what former coach Adrien Griffen couldn’t accomplish?
The Heat acquired former Celtic Terry Rozier in a trade with Charlotte. Rozier instantly makes an already dangerous team even better on the offensive end. Ahead of the trade deadline pieces are starting to move. Teams will be looking to catch up to the likes of Boston in the race for a championship. As of right now Boston and Denver stand alone at the top. This last gamed moved the Nuggets over the Celtics in the power rankings of most NBA fans.
