The Rain Came

Genesis chapter 7 beginning at verse 11, “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.

They never believed that such a day would come. The warning that they had crossed a line with God was clear, but as always, they chose to follow their own reasonings above the Word of God. They justified evil, and made a mockery of good. They daily passed by the opportunity for mercy that God had commissioned to be set in plain view. They mocked, they laughed and they ignored the words of Noah, warning them that consequences to their behavior were soon to come. Then one day, without warning, the rain came. It was too late to find mercy. The door of safety had closed.

In America today, it’s time to pray!
