In 2005, a story was posted on 4chan saying "hey, lets create a new monster". After a massive amount of input from the darkest corners of imagination, The Rake came into existence. Is the monster just a made up nightmare or could the description have been pulled from long ago when darkness was an unnerving glimpse into the unknown.
