Mine happened in a single moment. In a hospital room. Watching my brother Mike take his last breaths.

I was 51 when two large souls entered that room. They moved slowly — deliberately — as if they wanted to make absolutely sure I saw them. I watched them hover over my brother's body. I watched his soul rise and join them. And then, just like that, they were gone.

His heart was still beating. But I knew. I had just watched him leave.

That night changed the entire course of my life.
