Welcome to my new, personal podcast called Two Sides HR. The goal of this podcast is to help HR translate the needs of the employee to the leaders of the organization. The divide between those two forces requires translation, and HR is in the ideal position to do so. I hope you all enjoy this episode.
Not to be an alarmist, but the return to the workplace represents a magnifier of existing mental health issues that need to be considered. At the same time, many organizations are dead set on returning their employees to their workplaces at least on a part-time or hybrid basis. In this episode I discuss some serious concerns that every employer should consider as they develop their return-to-work plan with security expert Ty Smith.
Ty is a highly decorated retired United States Navy SEAL with multiple deployments to the Middle East. After 20 years of faithful and honorable service in the U.S. Navy, Ty founded CommSafe AI (https://commsafe.ai/), a technology company that specializes in conflict and violence prevention. Ty completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University and a Master of Business for Veterans degree from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. Ty holds Board positions at Ashford University and the University of Arizona Global Campus. Ty is also a mentor at the San Diego State University Lavin Entrepreneurship Center and The Honor Foundation.
