Half of the Amendment's 27 words talk about the need for a 'well regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state.' This alone can restrict gun-related legislation, and is a condition with no bearing in 21st century. The fear, greed and emotional isolation of too many lawmakers, weapons manufacturers and gun owners would have us believe otherwise.
