At 15th March by 7:30 PM that same day, I was checking in to embark on one of the most fantastic adventures I've ever had in my entire life.

And it was on this adventure that I met someone who inspired me immensely. His name is Vitor Cardoso, a former football player from Sporting's of Lisbon youth teams. Life led him away from his football career due to a major injury and a significant loss, subsequently taking him down dark and winding paths.

What's certain is that at the end of our training session, the craziest of our lives, I saw him laughing again. And what a smile he was showing!

And it's him that I'm going to talk about today. The man who didn't smile. Vitor Cardoso.
