My guest on the program is artist mark Tomkins, better known on instagram on his channel @rebelscumart. You can find some amazing Star Wars vector art on his page and he will be displaying his art at the upcoming Winter London Comic con Olympia from November 16th to the 17th. Since it is his first show I wanted to talk to him about the prep work and of course about his amazing art.

Dan Zehr returns to the program to discuss the recent announcement of the Saga Museum of Star Wars Collectibles by Rancho Obi-Wan at their fundraising event recently.
The owners of the largest collection of Star Wars memorabilia aims to merge with other super collectors and create a dedicated space to house the combined collections which would operate as a museum. It would allow for more fans and visitors as well as offer educational programming. Their goal is to raise 2 million dollars in the next two years to achieve this goal.
As collectors and some fans start to grow older, it does beg the question of what is to become of these collections and should they be in a proper museum? And what about our own collections. You may not have a cool name for your Star Wars room/shelf, but what would be your plans for your prized possessions, once you have grown past them, or they, you.
Dan Zehr as you well know is the host of the popular Coffee with Kenobi podcast, which, along with its tie-in social media channels and the CWK Facebook group, has been talking Star Wars and fostering community for over 11 years. Dan has been out to Rancho Obi-Wan many times and has interviewed with Steven Sansweet on multiple occasions.

On September 12, 2024, Topps and Disney announced a new deal that would kind of change some of the landscape of trading cards to go forward. To continue the conversation from part 1 of our two-part episode talking about the impact of this deal across many parts of the hobby, I welcome another trio of guests to the podcast.
Sal Barry, from the Puck Junk Podcast is a lifelong hockey card collector who has a lot of insight on the hobby and Upper Deck.
Rodney Roberts is a sketch artist who has done work for both Topps and Upper Deck and can be heard regularly on Meanwhile at the Podcast.
And Anthony King, who was on recently talking about D23, & ICCC who is also a super-fan and collector of Disney and Lucasfilm collectibles.
If you haven’t had a chance yet to listen to part one, make sure you check out episode 167.

On September 12th Topps announced a new partnership with Disney to create physical cards for Disney, Pixar and Marvel globally starting in 2025. Currently Upper Deck has had some of those rights in the U.S.
Starting with Topps Finest X-Men ’97 in Q1 2025, it will be a new era for Marvel cards, as well as a larger number of IP’s under the Fanatics roof. Although the impact for Star Wars card collectors may not be seen, a lot of this change affects the hobby around us.
To help analyze the changes I invited Ian Taylor of the Marvel Card Collectors Podcast, Stephanie Garcia of Mamabreaks and sketch artist Michael Munshaw on for part one of a two part special on this new card landscape.

Sketch artist Ian McKesson joins me on the program to talk about his latest work in the 2024 Topps Chrome Star Wars, the appearance with Mama Breaks at the Burbank Card Show and a little about his background and process. He has appeared on many Star Wars sets for Topps in the last couple years. It was a fun conversation and it was fun to get to talk with him!
In the Homestead keeping segment a brief bit on the recent agreement between Toppps and Disney to start developing and producing Marvel, Disney & Pixar trading cards globally. Previously some of this was only outside the U.S. More will be talked about in the shows ahead.
