Professor Kennedy served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and is the author of Interracial Intimacies: Race, Affirmative Action and the Law. The topic of the debate between Mr. Crowder and Dr. Kennedy was “Is free speech dead on college campuses?” where the professor argued that it, indeed, is not. Do you agree or disagree?

In a recent interview with the Center for American Progress, James Talarico, a Democratic candidate for the Texas Senate seat and Presbyterian seminarian, said that including Bible stories in the school curriculum for young children is akin to "indoctrination" and that it’s "deeply immoral.”

Now, you might think such a statement would draw near-universal condemnation from the broader Christian community, but you’d be wrong.

“I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity. … [I am against] religion in neutral and public spaces. … The Bible is all over the place [on marriage and morality]. … I trust women [and men] to make their own decisions.”

These are just a few quotes from Democratic candidate James Talarico, who is running (and leading in the polls) against Ken Paxton to replace John Cornyn as senator from Texas.

If you have a sense of deja vu — that you heard this all somewhere before — you are right. In fact, one of America’s most influential historical leaders said something similar more than 200 years ago.

On one of his recent podcasts, Tucker Carlson said that “The people in charge don’t want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.” Is this true? Do Muslims really love Christ? The answer is no; and not only do they not love him, but they deny who he even is. Proof? Let's look at the overwhelming evidence Tucker seems willing to simply ignore.

The antisemitism of the horseshoe right continues to run rampant.

By way of example, one proponent of Tucker Carlson’s view that modern-day Israel is the worst of all nations known to man posted the following to my Facebook page: “You keep arguing that we should read our Bibles. Please quote one book, chapter, and verse that says Christians must support the Christ-rejecting nation of Israel.”

Challenge accepted. Here is just a start.

Of course, Mr. Maher is right about all this, with one exception. Everything the burgeoning political class knows about the Middle East is not learned just on TikTok. Unfortunately, much of it is derived from pseudo-intellectuals such as disgraced Baptist minister J.D. Hall.

In a recent episode of his podcast, titled “Origins of Christian Zionism, How It Corrupted American Christianity and Why It’s Finally Collapsing,” Tucker Carlson featured J.D. Hall as his guest and expert. While peddling his worn-out and biblically discredited arguments for “replacement theology,” J.D. Hall dove-tailed into a peculiar diatribe of praising Muslims for being “very kind” to Christianity.
