Over 70 Million Americans are affected, directly or indirectly, by substance use disorders every year. Drug overdose and Fentanyl poisoning is now the leading cause of death in our country. Accourding to the CDC, over 123,000 people died in 2023 as a result of substance use. Think about that number for a moment. It is equal to the death toll of 9/11/2001 happening every 9 days in our country and yet no one wants to really talk about it. We do! Personal Responsibility Reocvery wants to normalize conversations about addiction and addiction treatment. Together, let's destigmatize substance use disorders by education, and discussions.
