Greetings Reds and Blues! It’s supposed to be the short show this week, but with all that’s going on AND the games that took place in the Champions League I have a feeling we’ll have plenty to say.

Chelsea’s woes continued over the weekend, as the return of Frank Lampard brought his relegation-threatened Everton to the Bridge and inflicted what may or may not be a portentous moment in both clubs’ seasons. Things off the pitch haven’t improved either. Is this recently great club teetering on the verge of collapse?

Strangely, United’s outlook has brightened a little on the heels of their dominant performance on Monday. With Bruno hitting his 50th and Ronaldo continuing to defy Father Time, the Red Devils looked lively against an albeit “just happy to be here” Brentford. But locker room issues are still a problem, or maybe just among former players. There is still much to be done.

And there’s no avoiding the Champions League matches. While perhaps not vintage performances in terms of quality, both games have been highly entertaining for the neutral. Will the Final live up to its preamble?
