  • 14. Hey Mom: What Do You Do When You Don't Feel Beautiful?

I started writing responses to questions I thought my daughter may ask me one day. Heartfelt conversations that I hope to have with her.

We all want our little ones to know we are a safe space to come to, now and in all the seasons to come. I specifically want my girl to know I am safe, and I will lovingly do my best to train her in the ways of God and lead her to seek Him in and through all things.

In this episode I share my response to my girl coming to me saying, "Hey Mom, What Do You Do When You Don't Feel Beautiful?". This is my first time reading this out loud and you will quickly notice how this one runs deeps in my heart.

May this encourage you when perhaps you yourself don't feel beautiful, and if/when your little love comes to you with this tender question you may have some inspiration from Him to pull from (Holy Spirit will always be faithful to lead and guide you in these moments. They matter to you and they matter to Him).

  • 13. Who Knew Thinking Is a Skill?

Have you ever wondered what other people spend their time thinking about? Yeah, me too!

We find a helpful framework of how we can think about what we are to think about in Phillipians!

In this episode we dive in to how to use that scripture to guide us in taking ownership of our conscious thoughts and re-programming what fuels our subconscious ones, some examples of how I have practiced this through deliberate conscious choices, and then we walk through the exercise I did to start me on this journey.

It's all a life-long practice that Holy Spirit empowers us in, we get to surrender to Him to do the transformation as we become active participants along the journey.

For most of us, time feels like something to manage, control, and squeeze meaning out of; leaving us jumping from thing to thing, anxious about whether we spent the day "right."

If you've ever white-knuckled your way through your days trying to make sure you're stewarding them well this episode is for you.

  • 11. How Our View of the Future Affects Life in the Meantime

For most of us, fear has a way of showing up in both the small things and the big ones; whether we're measuring up today all the way to what happens when we die, quietly shaping how we live our every day.

Today I'm sharing what years of feeling fearful and anxious about the future taught me, and how a deep dive into what's actually promised about the life to come has completely changed the way I experience my days now trading a focus on what I didn't want for a rooted, confident hope in what God has clearly promised us.

  • 10. No One Talks To You More Than You: Why Your Self-Talk Matters More Than You Think

For most of us, the voice inside your head has quietly become the loudest critic in the room; narrating, judging, and grading everything from how you look to whether you said the write thing or not, often speaking things you’d never dream of saying to a friend or someone you love.

Today we talk about why that inner conversation matters more than you realize and how it can become such a helpful and life-giving way to grow your relationship with the Lord and build your flexibility and endurance in your journey onward to eternity.

If you are ready to take ownership of how you talk to yourself instead of letting the conversation run on autopilot, this episode is for you!

  • 9. To Trash the Mirror or Treasure It?

For most of us, a mirror has quietly become a destructive tool, used to see how you're measuring up to cultural standards of value and worth, leading many to wish they were never invented in the first place.

Today we address why trashing all mirrors won’t actually solve the problem and we dig in to how we begin healing what and WHO we see instead.

  • 8. You Are Responsible for the Story You're Telling Yourself

Every day, your mind is writing a story about yourself, other people and the circumstances around you. A lot of the time you allow the story to take off on auto pilot without considering what you'd rather think instead. In this episode, I'm walking you through exactly how to catch when you're writing an untrue story that isn't serving you, how to rewrite a better one on purpose, and how to release the outcome once you have.

    In this episode:

    • How to catch yourself believing an untrue story — and why your feelings are the first clue something's off
    • A practical, step-by-step way to rewrite a better, truer story on purpose, starting with naming what you actually want to feel
    • How to surrender and trust God with what's only His to carry, and turning your focus to reflecting Him and growing to become more like Him

  • 7. Whose Glory Are You Living For?

We can easily find ourselves chasing approval, value, success, or the feeling of being “enough.” But what changes when we stop living for our own glory and start living for His?

In this episode, we talk how your focus shapes the way you see yourself, what your body is actually for, and what it looks like to redirect your attention toward living for God’s glory and eternal impact. You will be encouraged to live from a place of stewardship rather than manipulation and striving.

I can ensure you you will be encouraged to go out and live your days with great clarity and purpose.

  • 5. How Would God Introduce You?

Have you ever wondered how God would introduce you?

This week I watched a movie about a shepherd introducing each of his sheep by name — describing their quirks, their personalities, what makes each one uniquely them — and the delight on his face completely wrecked me. It made me think about how God knows and delights in each of us the exact same way.

In this episode, I'm sharing that movie moment, a personal story about a name God once gave me in prayer, and a challenge I can't stop thinking about: how often do our thoughts about ourselves actually line up with how God would describe us?

We'll walk through what it means to be known and named by God — not lost in the crowd, not just "one of the flock" — and I'll leave you with two simple reflection prompts to take into your own time with Him this week.

If you've ever felt unseen, or like you're just one of many, this episode is for you.

    In this episode:

    • A movie scene that changed how I think about being known
    • What it means that we "cherish belonging" the way the shepherd's sheep did
    • A personal story about a time I felt so encouraged by God in prayer
    • Two reflection prompts to ask God how He'd introduce you
