This sermon is a call to Christians to keep ourselves in the love of God.

We can know and reside within the love of God only when we believe in Jesus. For he willingly laid down his life for us, taking our sin and shame, and giving us righteousness. This amazing grace and mercy of God lavished on us continues to keep us in the love of God.

God has also given us means of grace, by which we can actively participate in things that show us more of God's grace, allowing us to remain in his love. These means of grace are to be energetically and enthusiastically pursued by Christians individually and corporately. Means include using the spiritual gifts to bless one another, meditating on Gods word, praying in the Spirit, fasting, communion, baptism and waiting with anticipation for Jesus' return.

Lord, thank you for making a way that we can experience and reside in your glorious love. Help us to throw ourselves into these means of grace and delight in you more and more as we do.
