Good, But Not Excellent

I couldn't wait for The Restoration, the third book of the Prairie Friends Series, to come out. Wanda Brunstetter had done an excellent job of capturing my interest in the first two books, and creating relationships with tensions to be resolved.

Adam has rejected his mother,who now wants to restore a relationship Adam can barely recall. Cora prays that her son,Jared, will mature and develop a good relationship with her. While Leah and Adam are now married, it is fun to watch their family bond and grow.

Leah's friends, Elaine and Priscilla, are uncertain about their present beaus. Priscilla has two beaus and can't seem to choose one over the other. Elaine receives a marriage proposal from Ben, but can't determine if he is "the one."

I loved several things about the novel. I loved seeing all the friends again. I was glad to see many Scripture references to guide the characters' thinking.I really liked Brunstetter's conclusion for Adam and Leah and their extended family.

I felt gypped by the quick resolutions of the other two romances. They just didn't get the attention they deserved. The ending suddenly was near, so they were wrapped up hastily. In one case, I felt like one outcome happened, just to give the story a twist.

A good story, just not the great one I've come to expect from Brunstetter.

Excellent Book & Love Wanda's Writing & Novels

If you read the previous Prairie State Friends you won't be disappointed. All of them were EXCELLENT.

and I love all their work. I am an Avid Reader of Amish Romance Novels. I follow Wanda with her new books

and I'm sure the Upcoming Amish Millionaire Series will be as Spectacular as the rest as I've read all her novels so far :)
