The Resurrection

Listen Later

1 Corinthians 15:1-58

Resurrection is the most basic principal of the Christian faith. Our savior

died and resurrected, He overcame death and gave us victory over

death.

The main concept of out Christian faith is that Jesus Christ our savior

died and after His death, He resurrected, and for that, there shall be

resurrection for them that believe in Him. Christianity is meaningless

without the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:32

If after the manner of men I have fought with

beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us

eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.

And after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He went to prepare a place

for us to live after this world. Just like a baby in his mother’s womb, he

sees no other life than what he is experiencing in his mum’s womb, but

for the mum there is a better place prepared for him with choice colors

and gifts awaiting his arrival.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood

cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit

incorruption.

As Jesus goes to prepare a place for us, we need to prepare ourselves

for his kingdom. Prepare your spirit which is the only that can survive

in the kingdom. Put away all fleshy desires and your body under subjection.

1 Corinthians 15:53

For this corruptible must put on incorruption,

and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this

mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass

the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Sin and less consciousness of Christ in your life override the ability of

the spirit (incorruptible) to be prepared for the coming of Christ. Let

this awareness be in you, that there is a place to go after this life and

abound in doing the work of God, in seeking God and in building up

your spirit with spiritual things.

1Corinthians 15:58 (NASB)

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be

steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,

knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

Revelations 20:11-15

. Jesus knew about His death, He predicted His death and was prepared

as well as ready for death. Are we ready and prepared for our last enemy,

death?

Let your affection and desires be of things above, build for yourself

treasures in heaven so that we will enjoy and celebrate over our hard

earned fortunes in heaven. God bless
