We are celebrating our Lord's resurrection on this day. Jesus came to earth to repair the damage done by the first man, Adam. Or, as Paul wrote, "For as in Adam all die" (1 Corinthians 15:22). Christ died and then rose again so that all in Christ will live eternally. The resurrection of Christ was of vital importance for, again as Paul wrote, "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins" (1 Corinthians 15:17).
