"But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak." (Mark 14:71) These are the words of Simon Peter the apostle just before Jesus was to be crucified. Just a few weeks later he said, "Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. (Acts 2:22-24) What changed?
Once the news of Christs' resurrection was known the religious leaders conspired with the soldiers using bribery. "...Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept." (Matthew 28:13) But why? To control the narrative and to gain the upper hand, maybe? What happened?
If the resurrection of Jesus Christ really did occur then you have a very important decision to make.
