THE REVELATION OF THE CROSS

1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

The moment you take the cross out of your gospel or Christian experience, you will have no power. That's the weakness we see among believers today.

It's on the cross where the sinner meets with the savior, God with men, the last Adam with the first Adam, death with life, light with darkness, etcetera. It's where your new journey of faith begins.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the [life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

In that place, you lost your old life and you were resurrected with Christ to a new life, which is why your living should be centered on the cross.

The cross is the revelation of God's love: the greatest sacrifice.That is the template for our living that God left for us.

Whoever has chosen the cross has lost it because it doesn't just wound or mend you, the cross kills you. It doesn't negotiate with you or spare you, it simply kills you.

John 12:24-25 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and DIES, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

If you want to see more multiplication or a mighty harvest in your life, you must capture the secret. Death is the only way to multiply in this kingdom.

There is a death you must embrace for you to be able to see a great harvest in your life (1 Corinthians 15:31).

Mark 8:34 When He had called the people to [Himself,] with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

You can not escape the cross of Jesus if you want to be His disciple.

Any discipleship that excludes the cross is simply a crowd accompanying other people to the cross and watching them die.

Check yourself; where you see barrenness, stagnation or lack of fruitfulness is an indication that death has not worked in that place because where death has happened, something new must be born.

When you plant a white maize seed, it dies first and the seedling that comes out of it does not resemble the seed at all. If you don't see change or transformation in your life, you are simply avoiding the cross (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

You can not know the resurrection power unless death works in your life.

It is the cross that deals with all the works of the flesh: anger, envy, fornication, lust, etcetera. Take them to the cross and nail them.

Crucify the flesh and as you do this, death will birth something new.

That is why we must embrace the ministry of the cross in our relationships, businesses and everything we engage in.

That anger, bitterness, envy, etcetera need to go to the cross. All the manifestations of the flesh are an indication that you have not died in the flesh but are alive.
