Into the realism of our difficult world, people are in need of hope. Like the Israelites who were threatened with exile, our view of life before our eyes can seem bleak. ‘Now hope that is seen is not hope’ as Paul said. Yet this prophecy, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, offers us a reviving hope. It is the beauty of hope for the hopeless no more.
