This was a special episode that was recorded at PI Live in Miami on April 17, 2024. Chris and Dan took time out of their busy days to chat with me about Moonpull and how they are helping brands fix tracking issues that occur within their affiliate programs. Broken tracking links are more common than they should be and are costing affiliates a significant amount of money.
In this episode, Rick sits down with Frederic Jean-Bart of Performance Partners and they discuss media buyers in the affiliate space. They are not talked about enough, but they are an important part of the affiliate marketing ecosystem. The benefit of using media buyers in affiliate programs is that they use their own money to drive traffic and get rewarded only when a sale is generated. Frederic educates on why they are valuable and why more brands should consider working with them.
In this episode, Rick sits down with Lavin Punjabi to discuss AI and how it's being used in affiliate marketing on the publisher side. We talk a lot about the brand side, but the publisher (affiliate) side needs to be optimized and inject efficiencies to tighten up operations. Lavin talks about his SaaS, NucleusLinks, and how it's making publishers' lives easier.
In this episode, Rick speaks with David Katz of Archer Affiliates. They are a top player in the Amazon sellers affiliate world. The conversation went in many directions, but the takeaway should be that all brands that are selling on Amazon should consider bolting on an affiliate program. This is not the traditional Amazon Associates program, but one that is just like a normal DTC e-commerce program, but uses Amazon's attribution API to operate. David is a wealth of knowledge on this topic and numerous nuggets can be pulled from the conversation.
In this episode, Rick talks to Michael McNerney of the Martech Record. They discussed the need for an industry trade publication and what Mike and his team are doing to move the affiliate/partnership space forward. The Martech Record is not just a trade publication, they are also an events company that is bringing education and awareness to cities all around the world.
