The first virtual and cross-border library against gender stereotypes and discrimination has been set up between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia: 18 multilingual podcasts, recorded in English, Italian and Slovenian, to describe, through as many key words, the world of women and the obstacles they have to overcome. An investigation that starts from language, but is then also reflected in the actions and behaviours of daily life, which see women often struggling with discrimination, especially related to their working and social life. Words: language education against gender discriminations (The Right Words: language education against gender discriminations), and which for 18 months saw CISL Fvg, as project leader, the Department of Legal, Language, Interpretation and Translation Sciences of the University of Trieste, the School of Advanced Social Studies of Nova Gorica (FUDS), and the associations Diritti a Prescindere of Udine and Listina Raznolikosti Slovenija of Ljubljana working side by side.

Ep.3 - PREVENTION

The importance of accessible and free preventive health care to reduce mortality rates. Work-life balance is essential for general well-being, avoiding stress and imbalances that can cause health problems. This word is relevant for promoting the priority of prevention and increasing public awareness of its importance. However, social norms and body stereotypes, especially for women, can distort the perception of prevention. Gender equality plays a significant role as social expectations and pressures related to physical appearance disproportionately affect women, who often focus on appearance instead of overall health in the context of prevention.

L'importanza dell'assistenza sanitaria preventiva accessibile e gratuita per ridurre i tassi di mortalità. Il bilanciamento tra lavoro e vita privata è essenziale per il benessere generale, evitando stress e squilibri che possono causare problemi di salute. La parola in questione è rilevante per promuovere la priorità della prevenzione e aumentare la consapevolezza pubblica sulla sua importanza. Tuttavia, le norme sociali e gli stereotipi sul corpo, specialmente per le donne, possono distorcere la percezione della prevenzione. L'uguaglianza di genere gioca un ruolo significativo poiché le aspettative e le pressioni sociali legate all'aspetto fisico colpiscono in modo sproporzionato le donne, che spesso si concentrano sull'aspetto estetico invece che sulla salute generale nel contesto della prevenzione.

Pomen dostopnega in brezplačnega preventivnega zdravstvenega varstva za zmanjšanje umrljivosti. Ravnovesje med poklicnim in zasebnim življenjem je bistvenega pomena za splošno dobro počutje, izogibanje stresu in neravnovesju, ki lahko povzročita zdravstvene težave. Ta beseda je pomembna za spodbujanje prednosti preventive in ozaveščanje javnosti o njenem pomenu. Vendar pa lahko družbene norme in stereotipi o telesu, zlasti pri ženskah, izkrivljajo dojemanje preventive. Enakost spolov ima pomembno vlogo, saj družbena pričakovanja in pritiski, povezani s telesnim videzom, nesorazmerno vplivajo na ženske, ki se v okviru preventive pogosto osredotočajo na videz namesto na splošno zdravje.
