Mississippi State jumped out to a 3-0 lead over Louisville, but the State bullpen could not hold the lead. The Cardinals walked it off in the bottom of the 9th with a pair of runs off of closer Cole Gordon.

The Bulldogs head home assured of a top ten finish, but still in search for the program's first national championship.
