I have a very different take on who 'The Man of Lawlessness' is in 2 Thessalonians 2. It is not my own, but the understanding of another believer, but it fits. It is more of what I would expect than the idea of some single human male known as 'The Anti-Christ.' This is the first show in our study of Genesis. We start by taking a very brief look at the 'cultural river' of the Ancient Near East. This is the common cultural beliefs out of which the Hebrews and the Bible sprang. It is foundational to understanding the Biblical worldview; how it is similar to, and more importantly, how it differs from Israels neighbors. This is more of an historical study than a 'religious' teaching, so you might want to file it under 'apologetics.'
