At the end of 2019, when Josh and Charles decided to include The Roboverse for WWIE2020, they did not realize that it would come out the same week that American cops would once again show themselves to be the militarized progenitor of racist violence, systemic bigotry, and mindless brutality. Verhoeven knew what was up in ‘87, and it is sadly fitting to cover RoboCop today, where it is somehow even more relevant.
