- If you’ve been a Christian for more than about 5 minutes, you’ve probably heard this verse many times - maybe even memorized it: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (NKJV). Even though it is familiar, we still too often overlook its full meaning. In this “challenge,” Pastor Doug encourages us to remember that this verse promises that all things work together for our long term good, not necessarily in the short run; and, there is the condition on this promise that we cannot forget - we must love God and follow His calling in order for all things to be worked together for our good. If we do our best to follow Him, He will always work out the circumstances of our lives, including our mistakes, what others do to or for us, and everything else in between.
