People say they want to be happy, but I think sometimes that's not exactly true. I told myself that for years, but somehow it was never my predominant mood. That is until I found out happiness is a skill much like playing the guitar or becoming a botanist. It just takes practice and deliberate thought. Also, I had to remove the stipulations I had about happiness. We each have a room in our mind where all the happiness we could ever hope for is just waiting to be unleashed, but we have to throat punch the guard at the door known as the ego that tells us we're not ready yet.
