Root Chakra (Muladhara)
• The root chakra represents our foundation. When the root chakra is open, we feel confident and stand on our own two feet. When it's blocked, we feel threatened and ungrounded. A blocked root chakra may turn into behaviors ruled mainly by fear, greed, paranoia, aggression, impulsiveness, and eating/food disorders. The imbalance in the first chakra is: excessive negativity, overly tired, need for constant approval, manipulative behavior, cynicism, eating disorders, greed for wealth or material gain, illusion, excessive feeling of insecurity, living in survival mode constantly, hard to feel safe in the world and everything looks like a potential risk, hyperactive, job security, physical safety, shelter, health.

o Behaviors it Controls: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, food, security, safety, basic needs (sleep, shelter, self-preservation, fight or flight response, etc.), physicality, physical identity and aspects of self, grounding, support and foundation for living our lives
o Mantra: There are many mantras (LAM, I am safe, I am grounded, etc.….)
o Color: Red
o Element: Earth
o Stone/ Crystal: Red Jasper, Hematite, Black Tourmaline, Bloodstone, etc.….
