In the episode, originally broadcast on July 14, 2020, we look back to 1991, in the desert of New Mexico where a group of scientists built the Biosphere 2.  It was originally planned as an environmental and sustainability experiment, and many hoped that it would open opportunities  for similar facilities around the world.  But the results fell far short of expectations and the lessons were often more practical than they expected.
