It's PANCAKE DAY! Do you have pancake day where you live? here in Ireland,  we call it Pancake Tuesday as it is always a Tuesday and it always falls 47 days before Easter Sunday! Other parts of the world call it Shrove Tuesday (shrove was another name for confessing one's sins!) or Mardi Gras, which literally means Fat Tuesday! making pancakes on this day may have been a way for people to use up their supplies of eggs and milk before fasting with very basic food for Lent! This silly little tale of the runaway pancake is from Norway, and with its repetitive refrain and curious characters, will be a sure-fire hit with smaller kids!
