-     Gavin Newsome has chosen LaPhonza Butler to replace Diane Feinstein. Newsome had said he would only choose a black woman. Butler is also the first black lesbian to be chosen.

-     Louisiana Tech linebacker Brevin Randle has been suspended indefinitely for stepping on a player’s head. 

Working Hard is Not Enough

-     The New York Jets lost last night to the Kansas City Chiefs last night after a couple controversial calls. Sauce Gardner was called for holding to give the Chiefs a first down and also the Chief’s left tackle was not called for holding on a massive run by Mahomes. 

Confidence is the Key

-     Notre Dame quarter back Sam Hartman exuded an immense amount of confidence in pushing the Irish to win against Duke in the last seconds of the game.
