Siddharth Basrur, a.k.a. Runt, is back on The Sairaj Kamath Show for the third time to talk about the making of the second Runt album. In this in-depth interview, the indie rock veteran opens up about writing and recording the new record, the freedom of a solo project, and the story behind the album cover (it’s Siddharth’s own dog).
We also go back through 26 years in music: the Mumbai indie scene of the 2000s, Kinky Ski Munky, fronting Goddess Gagged and their legendary album ‘Resurfaces’, his short stint with Scribe, his years as a stage actor, and playing with Ricky Kej. Plus his fitness journey, how Runt’s first Bangalore show went, memories of the old Humming Tree, film music versus indie music, singing in Tamil, dealing with late payments, and some crazy tour stories.

Indus Creed frontman Uday Benegal sits down with The Sairaj Kamath Show to trace his journey through Alms for Shanti, life in New York City in the 90s, and Indus Creed's comeback with Evolve.
He goes back to the pre-MTV days of making rock music in 1980s India, reflects on the dark side of rock fandom, unpacks what separates 'good' music from 'bad,' and reveals how he nearly became a filmmaker before music took over his life.
A must-listen for fans of Indian rock, indie music history, and honest artist conversations — only on The Sairaj Kamath Show, Bangalore's home for in-depth interviews with independent artists.
