In my bookkeeping business, Coeurbridge, we have encountered issues with conflicting tax flows when paying sales tax for clients. The reason for this is that sales tax is collected on invoices and deposited into your regular operating expense checking account. However, if you do not transfer it into a separate sales tax agency payable checking account, you risk spending money that is not yours.
