The Sandcrawler: Star Wars Collectors' Show

Original Release Date: October 24, 2021

After an extended break we look away to the horizon….

Thanks for listening.

Dan & Mac

Catching up on summer collection news, Rancor Haslab oops, Rogue One Black Series and a big I Wanted Everything.

Today’s episode of The Sandcrawler was recorded on Thursday June 24, 2021

Happy belated Father’s Day! It’s been a while since our last show and we have a ton of new action figure announcements to run through. Does it seem like things are getting better for Star Wars action figure collectors? It feels like it as we discuss new figures, potential play sets and oh yeah….Black Series figures on Power of the Force cards!!

What should Mac do about the Black Series Rogue One releases? Should he stick with what he has and stick to his main focus or does he spend spend spend to get most of the Rogue One team?

In I Wanted Everything Dan picks up a great looking statue from Shadows of the Empire. Mac shares his new look for his “Rebel wall” with the Wedge Antilles Black Series helmet, a couple new books and figures and a very cool poster courtesy of our good friends The Fronsee’s.

An “I Wanted Everything Request” - Rob Williams Generation X-wing is looking for a Nik Sant action figure. Nick Sant is the bearded rebel who is disguised as a Scout Trooper in Return of the Jedi. Rob is a Scout Trooper with the 501st who recently began working on a Nik Sant costume. He would love to add the action figure to his collection so if you can help him out let us know, or let Rob know via Generation Xwing Podcast social media.

Check out From4-LOMtoZuckuss.com for Jake’s report on Washington Summer Con where he interviewed a bunch of Star Wars actors.

Today’s episode of The Sandcrawler was recorded on Friday June 4, 2021. This week Jake waxes poetic about some found toys, Dan doesn’t know what to do with a giant Naboo Starfighter and Mac get’s his wish to finally review the VINTAGE COLLECTION TANTIVE 4 CORRIDOR SET. It’s a REANAISSANCE episode this week on your home for ACTION FIGURE THERAPY - The Sandcrawler!

May the Fourth festivities, The Bad Batch premieres and Hasbro announces new figures.

The Sandcrawler #112 - Cinema Scenes Part 2

After an absence of 10 months we return to our happy place: Power of the Force and tackle the rest of the Cinema Scenes line that we first talked about in Episode 95. Listen to that episode HERE. To help us with the history of this line we used the excellent resources from Rebelscum.com and Jedi Temple Archives.

We cover a bit of new figure news with The Black Series Clone Wars figures and you can check out Jake’s extensive look at the 3.75” line that these new figures were based on.

In I Wanted Everything Dan reveals his latest 90’s Star Wars passion and Mac finds spare parts for his Kenner Snowspeeder. When modern collecting gets you down, go back to your roots we say!

Check out our new Marfalump T-shirt design!

We're back after an EXTENDED break! Last episode we vented about the state of Star Wars collecting and in some cases Star Wars in general and this week we follow up with how we plan on continuing in this hobby in a way more positive attitude.

Thanks to Rezikai and Ben11420 for your feedback and Apple Podcast review.

We share our recent finds in I Wanted Everything including Jake's big toy run while in Colorado last week.

Disney Plus added the Star Wars Vintage Collection series and we discuss those offerings, especially the Tartikovsky Clone Wars micro-series.  And Mac goes on an old man rant about 70's Saturday morning TV.

The Bad Batch hits May 4 and we take a look at the trailer.

Finally on to toy news we take a look at the Lucasfilm 50th Publishing figures from The Black Series.

Hasbro Fan Fest brought forth a lot of Star Wars figure news and we go through those announcements. See images and info on our website.  Vote on a Vintage Collection reissue here.

Jake will be speaking to the Hasbro team very shortly so head over to From 4LOM to Zuckuss and vote on The Bad Batch.

We had a plan, we hit the record button and then-

Being a Star Wars collector can be very challenging lately. Being a Star Wars FAN can be very challenging lately. This week's episode is three friends basically unloading on each other about the state of collecting. It's a rambling, ridiculous but also interesting conversation that we just felt we had to get off our chests.

Thank you to BUNK DOGG for the 5-star Apple Podcasts review and thank you to Jon for his great question about what scale of action figure he should focus on.

After that we talk about recent finds in I Wanted Everything including an awesome prototype that Dan recently acquired.

We break down all the announcements and what it means to a couple of guys that still collect toys.
