Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) has been Santa Claus for twelve years and while he loves bringing joy to the children of the world, the unending toy manufacturing, elves requiring his approval, and time spent away from his family are beginning to way him down.

In addition to all that, Jack Frost (Martin Short) has been trying to upstage Santa and get a holiday of his own. When Jack learns that he can go back in time and prevent Scott from ever dawning the red coat, hijinks ensue.
