This week on The Saturday Brunch, Laura, Rob, and Alex serve up another colourful mix of music, stories, and festive vibes.
We kicked things off with the cast of The Adventures of Mr. Moon and Pierrot, bringing magic, friendship, and wonder for all ages.
Then we checked in with the Head Mistress of Repton School Al Barsha, where Rob had the tough job of judging their high-stakes House Sing-Off.
The music kept rolling as Wim Hoste performed his original Christmas track inspired by the Palm Jumeirah shores. Plus, Dubai singer Louise Esther belted out an 80s banger from Boy Meets Girl.
We also welcomed Julia Johnson, author of The Pearl Diver, which is now studied in UAE schools for its rich portrayal of Emirati culture and Dubai’s origins. She shared the inspiration behind the story, her early days in the UAE since arriving in 1975, and the exciting news that the book is now being brought to life as a play
And rising star Ruby-Mae Parkinson sprinkled a bit of Frozen magic over the studio with a gorgeous rendition of Let It Go.
