Jesus taught us that all people are valued and their stories deserve to be heard. When Jesus called his followers around the table he said that the meal was his body and blood given for them, and given for you.He was re-telling your story into a story that begins and ends with life, and in between, its a story that says that you are person of value, you are a person of significance, you are a person of worth, you were bought with a price.
