The last part of the Gospel of John's first chapter shows Jesus calling his first five disciples, John, Andrew, Peter, Nathanael, and Philip. They were called by Jesus for a purpose just as all of God's children are called.

The Savior was calling out to these disciples as He calls out to His sheep today.
