This section of Proverbs (22:17 – chapter 24) is a separate collect titled, "Sayings of the Wise". It is composed of 30 different sayings (22:20) that are structured a little different from the typical one verse style. It usually contains a chunk of verses that read like a discourse similar to chapters 1-9. If these are words of truth and divine related counsels that are to be applied to the innermost part of the person, for the purpose to direct your faith in God… how important is it for us to take in and apply what is about to be instructed?
