She resorted to working as an exotic dancer and struggled to make ends meet.

Despite maintaining contact with her friends and family through social media, Morgan abruptly disappeared from their lives on February 26, 2016, leaving no trace. The last Instagram video, capturing her walking with an unidentified man, only deepened the mystery.

Several weeks later, her mother, Sherri, was informed of Morgan's absence and embarked on a journey to find her daughter.
