John 3:16 has been referred to as the “scarlet thread” that connects the entire message of the Bible together. It may also be described as the grand prize of Easter. It is by far the most famous verse of Scripture. No other verse in the Bible is more widely referenced than this one.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This verse has 25 words. The first 12 words deal directly with God with the last 12 words dealing directly with man. The one word in the middle is the word “Son.” Jesus Christ is the one who divides that verse into two parts.
