As a young boy, my mother was a guiding force in the formation of my morality. Even today I still draw guidance from the lessons I learned from her. Of course there were others, but no one comes close to the weight she carried in my development. By example, her life emulated service to others. I honestly do not remember a time when my mother was not thinking of someone else’s needs, wants, or feelings.

Jodi Caldwell is a Patient Coordinator for www.WeightLossinMexico.com . She is the mother of two girls, a wife to her husband Brian, and an advocate for those who are looking to reclaim their life through weight loss. At over 400 pounds Jodi had had enough. She told herself she was fine, that her weight was not impacting her abilities as a mother or wife. That her health issues were normal things that people her age all experience. On October 21, 1992 Robert Allen Laymon, age 35, was found dead in his apartment at 702 N. Jefferson Street Hartford City, Indiana. Mr. Laymon had been assaulted and stabbed multiple times after what an upstairs neighbor described as a verbal argument.

Former Hartford City Police detective, J.D. Beckley discusses the unsolved murder of Alan Laymon in Hartford City on October 21, 1992. He shares his experience being involved in the case and the 911 call made that night from the roommate. 

In a brief window of time Mr. Laymon arrives home, and within 15 minutes he is engaged in an argument, a scuffle, and brutally stabbed by two assailants, just before his roommate arrives home from work. His murderers are still free. This case has never been solved. His family deserves answers. A blue or black mid 1980’s TransAm/Firebird or Camaro was seen repeatedly near the apartment by multiple neighbors.
